What are your thoughts on the movie 2 Hearts? It’s a good movie for spending time with friends or curled up with a loved one. But I wouldn’t rush to the movie theaters to watch it myself.
But 2 Hearts doesn’t come close to finding the pulse required to be that movie. There’s a great film to be made about organ donation - the miraculous, often mysterious link between donor and recipient and how that decision touches lives. This other reviewer expressed my thoughts perfectly: Now I will say as a writer, I don’t personally see how it could have been shared any differently to get the same message across. There are two romances happening, but I feel this movie struggled to put all the pieces and storyline together in a manner where it flowed well. She felt it was a bit drawn out, but she felt it was good. The person who watched this movie with me liked the overall concept. Then when it finally did, it felt like many details were left out and other details were added that weren’t needed. In the movies source material, All My Tomorrows: A Story of Tragedy, Transplant and Hope, Chriss partner at the time of his death is referred to as Jenn, not Sam.

I desperately wanted to like it because the principle behind this movie and the message it’s trying to convey is amazing.įor the first half of the movie, I was impatiently waiting on the full story to start to take shape. This movie was a bit slow and hard to watch. When my family members passed away they were organ donors, and I was expecting to gain a fully captivating romance organ donation movie. While I was eager to watch this movie, I was a bit let down. Based on an inspirational true story, 2 HEARTS is a romantic journey that celebrates life, love and generosity of spirit, and will strengthen our belief that miracles still happen. For two couples the future unfolds in different decades and different places, but a hidden connection will bring them together in a way no one could have predicted.
